The documentation that exists is incomplete. Any given page may be accurate, inaccurate, present only as an example, or badly out of date. We do not yet recommend that anyone attempt to build Sorter.

SorterOS — Installation

Installation

Choose how you want to install SorterOS: a pre-built image for Orange Pi 5, a one-command installer for generic Linux, or a manual step-by-step setup.

SorterOS image

A pre-built OS image for the Orange Pi 5. Flash it, plug in Ethernet or pick your WiFi on its setup network, and it installs the current stable release itself.

Linux (generic)

One-command installer for Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04, or Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm on any machine.

By hand

The manual step-by-step sequence — for unsupported platforms or when you want full control.
